‍It is with great gratitude and immense pride that I take the position of President, Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (IADVL) for 2025. I would like to thank my predecessors, my colleagues, and all members of this active association for their devotion towards dermatology, research and for taking care of patients.

As we embark on a new journey, IADVL is committed to promoting excellence in education, driving innovation in research, and enhancing clinical practice of each and every member. As dermatology evolves rapidly, our shared goal is to remain proactive, guaranteeing optimal results for both our patients and the professional community.

‍My Vision for 2025

• ‍Stronger Member Engagement:

  • Generating additional chances for professional networking, exchanging knowledge, fostering leadership growth within IADVL and taking every member along the path of progress.

• ‍Empowering Dermatologists:

  • Enhancing academic efforts by improving CME programs specially for the ones in practice, developing digital learning platforms for all, and providing mentorship for emerging young professionals.

• ‍Ethical & Inclusive Practice:

  • Promoting ethical practices in dermatology and tackling new challenges being faced everyday by not only beginners but also the well-established ones.

  • Supporting policies that safeguard and improve our profession.

• ‍Advancing Research & Innovation:

  • Promoting clinical and translational research initiatives.

  • Supporting partnerships and advancing evidence-informed dermatological practices.

• ‍Public Awareness & Advocacy:

  • Heading national initiatives focused on skin health, STIs, and raising awareness about leprosy.

  • Countering public myths and stigma by means of education and community outreach.

  • Helping the underprivileged specially the elderlies, destitutes, orphans and the physically or mentally challenged individuals and those left uncared for in the society.

By working together, we can mold the future of dermatology through excellence, integrity, and inclusivity. I encourage every one of you to get involved, share your insights, and assist in reinforcing IADVL as a guiding light for the advancement of dermatology, venereology and leprology in India and beyond.
